Anastasya and the others began to split up and work on their respective tasks. She took a broom from the yard and started cleaning the front yard little by little.
As she swept up the dry leaves, Anastasya happened to see a black car entering the house grounds.
When the car stopped, two male servants immediately ran over to it. One of them opened the car door, and both servants bowed.
Then a handsome, well-built man in a black suit suddenly stepped out of the car as he removed his sunglasses. Anastasya was puzzled.
"Is that Mr. Abraham Selamet? But why does he look so young?" Anastasya wondered.
Anastasya had heard that Mr. Abraham was already over fifty. Judging by the man who had just stepped out of the car, there was no way someone in his fifties could still look so handsome and energetic. It seemed impossible.
"Anastasya, why did you stop sweeping? We're being watched by one of Mrs. Hesti's people. What if she reports this to Mrs. Hesti?" Ayuni asked when she saw Anastasya.
"Oh, right. Sorry..." Anastasya stammered.
While the two of them were talking, another woman suddenly came over and addressed them.
"Why are you two chatting? The trash will just get scattered again! Don't be slow when you're working here! Otherwise, you won't get your lunch or dinner portion," said the woman, who had been watching Anastasya and Ayuni for some time.
Ayuni and Anastasya immediately separated and moved away from each other, continuing to sweep. Then the woman in green spoke again.
"After this, clean Mr. Alex and Mr. David's rooms," she ordered.
"Yes, ma'am," Anastasya and Ayuni replied.
The woman in green then stood several yards away and continued glancing over at Anastasya and Ayuni's work.
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
After cleaning the trash from the front yard, Anastasya wanted to clean the backyard, but the woman in the green uniform approached her.
"Go inside and get upstairs right away. Ayuni can handle this area. Mr. Alex and Mr. David don't like their rooms messy, so straighten them up before they get angry," the woman instructed.
Anastasya looked at Ayuni, who nodded as if giving her permission to go up to the second floor. Meanwhile, two other workers in blue uniforms were cleaning another room on the first floor.
"Hurry up! What are you waiting for?" the woman in green snapped.
"Y-yes, ma'am," Anastasya replied stiffly. She had been startled when the woman yelled at her.
She hurried inside and headed for the second floor, her heart pounding, because she had heard some unpleasant news: Mr. Alex and Mr. David would get angry if their rooms weren't cleaned immediately.
The problem was, Anastasya had never met either of them. What were they like? Were they cruel? Would they yell at her until she couldn't take it anymore? Anastasya felt oppressed just imagining the two men who had already begun haunting her thoughts.
"Oh, God, I hope choosing to work here doesn't turn into a nightmare. And why does everyone here act like starving demons? I really didn't expect this," Anastasya muttered inwardly.
When she reached the upper floor, she saw that it also had what looked like a living room. The space was open, without walls enclosing either side. Four rows of beautifully arranged sofa benches stood in a line. A cool breeze blew through the area, making the second floor feel even more comfortable.
Another thing she noticed on the second floor was that there was a balcony on both the left and right sides. One overlooked the front yard, while the other overlooked the backyard. It was obvious that this luxurious house had been built with extraordinary perfection and elegance. Anyone who saw it would be instantly captivated by its grandeur.
Without wasting time—and afraid of being scolded again—Anastasya started walking to the left, where she would find the balcony overlooking the backyard. But before she could get there, a man in a black suit suddenly spoke to her.
"Are you a cleaner?" the man asked. He was one of the male servants in the Abraham family.
"Yes. I was ordered to clean Mr. David and Mr. Alex's rooms, but I don't know which ones they are," Anastasya told the male servant.
"In that case, come with me," the man said.
"O-okay," Anastasya answered awkwardly.
