After finishing his routine and classes, Narin left the classroom and headed to the cafeteria. There, he chose to sit alone in a corner and enjoy his lunch.
However, it wasn't long before the girls began making a racket when they saw the arrival of their handsome and famous idol.
At once, Narin lowered his head and avoided looking in their direction or attracting their attention. But it seemed that didn't work, because Sky and his entourage immediately walked toward him.
"Buy us some food," he ordered with sharp eyes, a piercingly cold tone, and an irritating smirk.
Narin gripped the spoon in his hand tightly. He was angry and afraid, but with a harsh sigh, he got up from his seat. Then Narin held out his hand to Sky.
Sky only stared at Narin in silence, raising an eyebrow as if asking what he meant by holding out his hand.
"Give me the money to buy your food." Narin finally spoke up to explain why he had held out his hand. His voice sounded frightened, though he was still trying to remain calm.
"You don't understand what I said. I told you to buy the food," he said, but Narin remained where he was, waiting to be given money.
"I don't have any money. I'm just a poor college student. Aren't you guys rich and loaded? Why are you asking me to buy your food?" Narin asked, trying to be brave as he looked into Sky's eyes.
Narin wanted to stand up for himself once in a while, too. He was tired of being bullied every day and constantly being made miserable.
"I know, but I want you to buy it with your own money," Sky replied casually.
"I don't have any money. If you want, you can eat my leftovers." Narin boldly pointed at the food on his plate, which still had plenty left.
Without saying it outright, Narin had insulted Sky as if he'd thrown dirt in his face and beaten the drums of war.
Right then, Narin saw Sky's face turn bright red with rage. Without warning, Sky swung his fist into Narin's face. Narin could even taste the metallic tang at the corner of his mouth.
Sky kept punching Narin in his fury. "How dare you insult me!"
Narin tried to shield his face. Of course he wanted to fight back, but Sky gave him no chance. Everyone in the cafeteria could only stand silently and watch Narin, with no one willing to help.
"That's enough, Sky. You could kill him. You don't have to be so rough, bro." Leo stopped Sky by grabbing his body as he continued to pummel Narin.
Narin's face was already badly beaten, but he knew Nawin wanted to help him when he saw him approaching. At once, Narin looked at him again and shook his head pleadingly, begging him not to do it.
When Sky realized that Nawin wanted to help Narin, he tried to punch Narin in the face again. "Don't ever try to get close to or flirt with my friend! You're not good enough for him. You're weird, ugly, and boring!"
Sky raised his fist again, but someone's voice quickly stopped him. "Sky, what are you doing?"
"Sun! What are you doing here?" Sky asked coldly, releasing Narin, whose battered body immediately collapsed onto the cafeteria floor.
"What happened here?" asked Sun, the handsome man with a sweet smile, milky-white skin, and catlike eyes. He even ignored Sky's question and helped Narin to his feet.
"It's none of your business, Sun. Get lost. This isn't your territory." Sky also ignored Sun's question, his voice laced with displeasure.
"This isn't your territory either, and hitting someone isn't the right thing to do, Sky!" Sun said with a cold expression.
Sky gave Sun a bored look. Then he quickly left Sun and Narin. "You're lucky you're safe today!"
Sun gave Narin a sharp sidelong glance, making Narin a little afraid and wonder whether the person in front of him wanted to bully him, too.
But Narin could see that Leo was still standing in front of him and Sun. Then Leo approached and placed a hand on Sun's shoulder.
"Please, treat him," he said, and only truly left after Sun answered with a nod.
Leo's words startled Narin, making him wonder why Leo would go to the trouble of caring about his condition. Then Sun took him to the infirmary and treated him there.
"What did you do to make Sky hit you like this?" Sun asked curiously after finishing treating Narin's injuries, which had left bruises on his face.
"Sky is always picking on me, so I'm used to it," Narin replied, lowering his head.
"You should have fought back. Why did you just stand there earlier?" Sun asked in frustration. He wasn't angry; he was simply baffled by why Narin had stayed silent and not dared to fight back.
"I have fought back before, but he retaliates even more painfully. Like this, for example," Narin said weakly.
